Our Mission is to Bring the Immaculate to All Souls   The Mission Of The Franciscans Of The Immaculate All over the world, the Family of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, Friars and Sisters, is moving step-by-step and from place to place, till the end of time, to lead all mankind to Heaven through the Immaculate.
The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate in the Heart of the Church   The Beginnings of the Franciscans of the Immaculate   The Franciscans of the Immaculate were founded by the two Franciscan friars, Fr. Stefano Maria Manelli and Fr. Gabriel Maria Pellettieri. The name, Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, was actually chosen by St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe who, in his time, foresaw a future feminine branch of the Friars who would also live this vow of total consecration to the Immaculate.
The Seraphic Life Lived In The Light of The Immaculate   The Marian Seraphic Spirituality     Like the Seraphic Father St. Francis, the Franciscans of the Immaculate strive to be perfectly conformed to the poor, humble, crucified Jesus through a life of prayer, supernatural charity, poverty and penance. They are totally consecrated to the Immaculate Virgin after the recent example offered by St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe.
Espousal with Christ: Our Vocation in the Church What is a vocation? Firstly, it would be helpful to look at what the word vocation means. “It comes from the Latin ‘vocare’, meaning to ‘call’. Thus we say that every vocation is a call addressed to man. From whom does this call come? It comes from God, Who is the Master of man’s life and man’s death. It is God Who gives us being and causes us to continue to be, so that ‘in Him we live and move and have our being’ (Acts 17:28). What does God call us to?
Using All Licit Means for the Immaculate The worldwide mission of the Franciscans of the Immaculate Loving God, notes Benedict XVI, inevitably opens a soul toward his neighbor. This is the special dynamic of Christian love; this is what makes it unique. In missionary life it reveals itself in very concrete actions, while at the same time its universal character is set in relief.

Missions Appeal
Help Our Mission in Brazil
We feature in our site this beautiful and inspiring footage of the orphanage run by our Sisters in Brazil, where the first House of Charity of Padre Pio has been built. Here the girls live under the care of the Sisters. The House of Charity was built wholly on the generous donations of benefactors, as the Franciscans of the Immaculate live totally on Divine Providence. Now, donations have been dwindling and without your financial help we will no longer be able to accept and care for new girls nor continue to send them to school so they may have a good education and the hope of a happy future. May the Immaculate reward you for any and all help you can give.

Featuring our mission in Nigeria
The second House of Charity of Padre Pio was built in Nigeria and just as the one in Brazil, it was done so on the generous donation of benefactors. As you will see in the film, our Sisters care for both the lepers and the children of the lepers. This House of Charity can house up to 80 girls, all under the supervision and care of the Sisters. Here, the girls receive medical, spiritual, physical and moral assistance. Due to generous donations we are able to take care of all their needs, including sending them to school for the hope of a happy future.

Vocation
A contemplative vocation within a vocation
There is nothing more inspiring to see than the heroic gift of oneself to God in a life of cloistered seclusion, in contemplative prayer and sacrifice. And the reward? Eternal life. In this film, in Italian titled "La Vendemmia", meaning the grape harvest, you can see a slide show of our Sisters in Città di Castello, Italy, where the contemplatives make wine for the Holy Mass.
